Waleses accompany the King and Queen to the service on Sunday morning as part of the traditional Highlands holiday
The Princess of Wales joined the Royal family at Crathie Kirk in Balmoral on Sunday as she was seen at church for the first time since her cancer announcement.
The Waleses joined the King and Queen in Scotland as part of the Royal family’s traditional summer holiday in the Scottish Highlands.
The Princess was pictured in a camel coat sitting in a Land Rover next to the Prince of Wales, who was behind the wheel of the car. Prince George was visible in the back seat.
The King and Queen were photographed in the back seats of a separate vehicle on their way to church.
Soldiers from Balaklava Company, 5th Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland, formed a guard of honour as the Royal family arrived.
The monarch has resumed the tradition adopted by his late mother, Elizabeth II, of spending an extended amount of time in the Highlands over the summer.
The late Queen usually resided at Balmoral until the end of September or early October.
The Princess has been largely out of the public eye for most of the year as she undergoes a course of preventative chemotherapy.
However, she appeared at Trooping the Colour and Wimbledon – and collaborated with Snoop Dogg, the American rapper, for a video congratulating Team GB on their achievements following the Paris Olympics.
In June, she told of having “good days and bad days”, and said: “On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting.
“But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well. My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months.
“On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home.”
Kensington Palace declined to comment.
